Be sure to buy the right ceiling fan blade for the size of your room

If you are considering installing ceiling fans in your home or an outdoor ceiling fan, you have a large variety of ceiling fan blade choices.  Most blades start at 10 inches and go up to 19 inches.  These often cover off a large portion of desktop, table top and pedestal fans.  Ceiling fan blades that are 20 to 29 inches are for portable fans and small room air circulators.

Ceiling fan blade ranging from 30 -39 inches is most often referred to as small room fans.  For a medium size space you will require a ceiling fan blade of 40 – 49 inches.  For larger rooms, you will likely want a blade between 50 and 59 inches.  Wide open spaces will require extra large fans with blades in the range of 60 inches and greater.
